Topic 2
A donut shop was my first job in America. It was in surburban area. The beautiful store was located in outskirts of New York City. Every night around ten I took a subway and then changed to the train toward Long Island. I don't remember the station name where I got off. The store was on the passing way of the station plaza. There were two donut makers, one helper who was me, and two, three girls on the counters. I still remember one girl of them who was a native single mom. Because she used to say Whaaat when I ask something. That time I was really embarssed to her response-what What- on my asking. I'm still allergic to the word of 'What!'. I started work at 11 pm.
I cleaned store and help to dough the flour. It didn't seem difficult to ready to fry donut. There was a maual from battering dough to frying. However it was actually not easy to follow manual. Before sunrise I cleaned outside of store and watered garden, It was best time during my job. I could get fresh air instead burning oil. Six in the morning I was on the train with the people going to the work to Manhatan.
